Recipe Sharing
The winners:
Veronica Seman won the first session with her apple pie cheesecake,
and Sue Dwyer won the 7-9 session with her pumpkin cheesecake.
Summer
time is the best time for seasonal cheesecakes! We're looking
for the best cheesecake recipe in the Cleveland Area. Sign up
now, and bring your best cheesecake to be judged by popular vote.
Reserve a place and bring a friend for a decadent night of dessert.
We will also share recipes so that all attendees will have a way to
enjoy the event for a lifetime!
Due to Popular
Demand, we added another time slot to the cheesecake baking
contest.
Two
prizes will be awarded (one for each session).
Date:
Saturday August 23rd
Overview: This is a competition to determine the best tasting,
home-made cheesecake. People attending the competition will receive
a collection of recipes from the cheesecakes at the contest.
Registration: Only those who register in advance will be
admitted. Due to limited space, tickets may not be available
at the door!
Rules for Contestants:
- There is only room for 10 contestants in
each time slot.
This will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Contestants must register by calling
440-333-9700 or email to
mattcook@studioof5rings.com on or before Saturday August 16th.
We need your name, phone number / email, and recipe. There is no cost for Contestants.
- Contestants will provide the Studio of 5
Rings a recipe before Monday August 18th. for the purpose of publishing the
recipe and giving the recipe to attendees the night of the
event. You may fax it to 440-333-9700 or email it to
mattcook@studioof5rings.com.
- If you plan on bringing a guest, your
guest(s) must register as an Attendee and pay $7.00 admission
fee (see below).
- Contestants will bring a minimum 9 inch
diameter cheesecake. Please make sure it is complete and ready
to slice when you arrive. We do not have any cooking or
refrigeration facilities.
- Serve your cheesecake to ticket holders
and answer questions about your entry.
- Cheesecakes will be sliced into sample
sizes that are one inch at the outside edge – this will yield
about 24 slices per cheesecake.
- Winner will be determined by popular vote
at 8:45pm. The tickets will be counted twice, and the results
are final. The winner will receive Bragging Rights and a $25
gift card to the Cheesecake Factory.
- Arrive by 6:30pm to set up and stay until
the contest of over at 9:00pm. Please take any remaining
cheesecake home with you – we do not have storage facilities.
- Please park your car across the street in
the old Target parking lot. This will allow more room for
Attendees.
Rules for Tasting Attendees:
- There will be NO
admission at the door if you are not on our pre-registered guest
list.
- Ages 21 and over: Please bring photo ID.
- $7.00 per person admission includes 5
cheesecake samples and recipes from the cheesecakes in the
competition
- Beverages will be available at an
additional cost.
- Additional tasting tickets may be
purchased $1 each
- Each Tasting Attendee will receive one ticket to
vote for their favorite cheesecake. The winner of the popular
vote will be announced at 8:45 pm.
5 Rings Winery:
- Will provide pie-cutters, cake slicing
guide, utensils, dishes, etc.
- Will provide wine, soda and water. No
outside beverages may be brought in.
- Giving away $25 gift certificate to the
Cheesecake Factory to the winner of the popular vote!
- Collecting and distributing the cheesecake
recipes.
